Where can I find Information for my book report ?

Your public library is a good place to start, Beware of story books and  novels you will not get a clear view of the wolf. I recommend for a good reference book  "The Wolf The Ecology and Behavior of an Endangered Species by. L. David Mech. This book may be a little hard to read, but it contains some of the best wolf facts you'll find anywhere. Another great book is Of Wolves and Men by Berry Holstun Lopez , here you will find good wolf history and its relationship with mankind. Have a question you cant find the answer to e-mail me perhaps I can help. Wolf Info

What do Wolves Eat ... ?

Wolves are carnivores (meat eaters) and will eat anything from mice to mouse. A lone wolf may hunt and kill a mice or a rabbit. But it takes the efforts of the entire pack to bring down large pray such as a deer. Wolves must be very careful not to get injured when they hunt sharp antlers and hoofs can kill or injure a wolf, and a injured wolf will most likely die. A wolf will gouge themselves after a kill consuming 20 to 35lb of meat. Yet wolves may go two week without food. On average only 1 out of 7 attempts results in a successful hunt for the wolf pack. The hunt is the number one reason wolves remain in a pack. It is not uncommon for wolves to have more the one kill at a time returning back to the kill site until all the meat is gone.  Not only do the wolves provide food for themselves but for scavengers like ravens and the artic fox.
