Well, this is me, Larry Shoemaker-Barclay the two legged one. The furry one is Kathleen Osage. She's
a Buffalo Wolf and our relationship was like that of two wolves and we were the best of friends. Including my six years at Wolf Haven I have worked and studied wolves for around
27 years. I' the former Director and founder of
W.O.L.F. (World Of Lupus Friends ), and I have been offering educational programs about wolves longer then I like to think about. My approach to studying wolves or anything else, is to approach it with an open mind, and a open heart. I was only in the second grade when I first fell in love with this wonderful animal. The class was giving a little puppet show of "The three little pigs". Well guess who got to play the part of the big bad wolf"? That's right yours truly. When the time came for the wolf to come crashing through the chimney unto a pot of boiling water. I decided to rewrite the script. Well the result was me losing the part and standing in the corner. For the record, I believe old Big Bad was framed.
With My art I stress to show my friend the wolf up
close and personal. I hope through my art to show the wolf as an individual
with personality and a soul.
